ANITA SHEIH

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Anita moved to Providence to attend Brown University, where she double concentrated in English Nonfiction and Visual Art with a focus in digital media. She particularly enjoys portraiture, fashion photography, and sculpture work. In her free time, Anita is also a cellist, tv binge-watcher, novice chef, and coffee enthusiast.

Anita Sheih graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University, where she received her A.B. in Visual Art and English in May 2020 with Honors in English Creative Nonfiction. Her photography, sculpture, and painting work has shown in various exhibitions throughout her undergraduate career, including a Digital Photography exhibition in the Perry and Marty Granoff Center for the Creative Arts (2017) and the “RED” group show in the David Winton Bell Gallery at the List Art Center (2019), both in Providence, RI. Sheih has served as the Photography Head of both Fashion @ Brown and The Brown Daily Herald, the university’s largest student-run publication and newspaper. During the summer of 2019, she worked in the Communications Department of the Museum of Arts and Design, New York City. Sheih’s work showed in the 40th Annual Juried Student Exhibition at the Granoff Center (2020), and her first solo exhibition was on view digitally in the spring of 2020, serving as a capstone of her undergraduate artistic explorations during her time at Brown University.
